As you my know November 29, 2014 was Small business Saturday which encourages people across the country to support small, local businesses, creating a holiday shopping tradition. One of many small business that locals around the Amityville district or anywhere should support is Amityville Acupuncture & Wellness. We encourage you to go visit Amityville Acupuncture & Wellness which will benefit you health wise and will increase the awareness of small local businesses.
Has your doctor ever referred you to an acupuncturist?
Probably not, because most doctors probably prescribe their patients drugs or other medications and not other alternative treatments such as acupuncture or massage treatments for patients.
But if you have, you should check out Amityville Acupuncture & Wellness, which specializes in Chinese acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, and massages to aid healing.
What really Acupuncture?!!….. ARE YOU SERIOUS?
Don’t worry the same thought crossed our minds and we couldn’t believe that acupuncture and massage therapy could do such wonders. Other fellow students and myself were lucky enough to interview the owner, Erin Hurme and we found out so many interesting facts and information about the benefits of acupuncture and other alternative heling treatments.
Questions about Acupuncture…?  ÂÂ
I knew you would have many questions about acupuncture….as myself one….But no fear, Acupuncture is very safe and painless. Acupuncture is the insertion of fine, sterile needles into the body at specific points to treat certain health problems. Acupuncture helps with almost everything in dealing with headaches, pain, and stress to helping to relieve menstrual cycle cramps.
How old should I be?
You can be of any age to have a session. Erin Hurme told us that it is better to start when you are young then when you are older because it may take longer sessions to be healed if you are older.
How long will it take for me to heal?
It can take about 3 to 8 sessions, but everyone is different so it will vary for each individual.
What is Chinese Herbal Medicine?
Chinese Herbal medicine is a herbal medicine which can be used independently or together with acupuncture to treat a wide variety of health conditions.
